Thanks for the beautiful message. Merry Christmas to your whole family. Terry holds a very special place in my heart. My son Kyle spoke to children across Canada and the US about terry’s story. He sadly passed from osteosarcoma five years ago . With the foundations help, there will be a cure. Love and hugs. Xx

On our holiday this summer we stopped by the place where Terry dipped his foot in the Atlantic Ocean. My 6 year old grandson was so impressed that’s all he could talk about the rest of the trip. When his school took part in the Terry Fox run Ryder proudly showed the picture of him at the spot.

Thank you so much girls and we enjoyed your video very much. We appreciate what you are working for and we pray that someday we will see more good results with radiating cancer.
We have both been hit with this C word. My husband Gerald (Jerry) has been treated for prostate cancer in 2011 and went through 39 treatments in London, On. And I his wife (Sulta) have had an operation in a London hospital back in 1995 and the operation was very Successful. In 2011 I had my nose operated on to remove the cancer. They used flesh from my forehead to help form and shape my nose back to what it was originally. What a great job the surgeon preformed. People notice the long scare all the way down my forehead, but not the end of my nose that had been cut off. Amazing how far treatment has come. Keep up the good work girls and crew! 😊

It is my prevaledge to do what I do for Terry Fox. I will continue for as long as I have a voice and a method of doing the walk. His strength to carry on is one reason why I continued to walk for him. His journey has given me strength I never knew I had. God bless you all throughout the year but especially now during the time of giving from the heart. Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR.

Thank you, ladies. It’s lovely to meet you! Terry would have been very proud of you carrying on his legacy. Our family had the honour and privilege to meet both Terry on his run and his Mom, Betty, your Grandma. When my son was the Easter Seals Timmy for the Barrie, Ontario area, she had a visit with my son, Ryan, to raise funds which will always be one of our fondest memories.
My mother and son, until they passed, never missed a run and I continue on with the tradition every September.
I admire your family greatly for the wonderful work you all do for cancer research. Despite your growing size, you manage to keep the charity personal and family-centred, which makes what you do all the more impressive. Terry’s memory and you make us all proud to be Canadian. Thank you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. You are an exceptional family and your Marathon of Hope is outstanding!!

    Very touching! Well done girls.
I met Teery toward the end of his run in northern Ontario and I still remember that day.
I, like many, bought one of his t-shirts. I finally passed it along to someone else who could use it.
    Continue your good work.
Merry Christmas to all of you at the Terry Fox Foundation.

I wish all of your family a Very Merry Christmas and All the Best in the New Year ! Terry is such an inspiration to so many people and I must admit that he has been my ” Hero” for a very long time . I saw Terry running in.the small town of Hawkesbury,Ontario in 1980 when my husband and I were on our way to get married on July 5,1980,so this was probably around the last week of June. I must admit that I was in sort of a bad mood then as we had started our trip from Niagara Falls 2 days prior when our car broke down, So we were late to help out with some of the wedding details and I just wanted to get to my parent’s home in Harrington, Quebec, but we ran into very heavy traffic in the middle of the main street and I was agitated at what could cause this . There were people running and walking down the middle of the street and I kept complaining for them to hurry up and what was the problem?! Then I saw Terry .He was so close to our car that we could have reached out to touch him. I saw this beautiful young man running amongst the people and instantly I forgot about our problems, realizing what is important in this world., not that we were a little bit late but to think of others who may have struggles in their lives and mine was no comparison !! I still have that image of Terry in my mind….. he was struggling and sweating, but the determination on his face was and is unforgettable and he was so young and as I said before that he was truly beautiful!! I told everyone at home and at the wedding about Terry and I could not believe that they had not heard of him! I believe that the coverage of Terry’s marathon began to take a life of it’s own around that time and just grew bigger . I have volunteered and have done the Run for over 18 years and this is due to the strength and determination that I saw on his face that day !Terry will always be a true hero ,for all that he gave of himself to help others. He certainly changed my view of life, that it is not all about me and my struggles or problems ,but to take a much bigger view of the world around me and to participate more on helping others!

I thank your Uncle Terry for everything he did while he was on this earth. I thank you young ladies for everything you do for the organization and a great organization it is. I will be married 39 years next April 12, 1980. I was married the day your Uncle Terry struck his foot in the Alantic Ocean. Heard about him just before I went to the church. I was working when he went thru Oakville on his run. I was also working the evenings when your Grandmother Betty was in Milton , her last visit to this area. I have been doing the Terry Fox Run since 1987. Wish I could have started when the Run started but was not able because I was working days. All the Best to your organization, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
