Amanda Cheong - Vancouver, British Columbia

Amanda has volunteered for a wide range of organizations. She is currently a Canuck Place Children’s Hospice Volunteer and a BC Children’s Hospital Peer Tutor. Amanda has also donated her time to Canadian Blood Services, Kidsafe Youth, Kids Help Phone and the Union Gospel Mission. At school she was the Compassionate Leadership Club Co-Founder, a Student Council Executive and a Peer Counsellor. Athletically, Amanda is very involved in Dragon Boat racing and has also participated in flat-water kayaking and canoeing.
Amanda plans to attend the University of British Columbia where she will study Social Sciences.

She is that rare student who understands that school is not just about book-learning, but also about developing as a good citizen and a generous human being.”
